Space Above and Beyond - Helmets.

This is the main helmet with the scanner down. The patterns were shaped from timber, foam and car putty with a vac formed visor.

We did 10 hero helmets all with working internal lights and fans for air flow to the actors.

Each helmet was custom fit to the actor with strips of sponge foam on the inside.

The power came from a battery pack fitted to the belt.

From the same mould we produced several other variations. There were others types done as well for background set dressing.

A very simple and quick helmet made from a standard crash helmet and a visor from another safety mask.
